Terms of Service

The rules for using curlhub — free, provided as-is, under Florida law.

The short version

These terms cover your use of curlhub.sh, free developer tooling operated by Tuxxin LLC (State of Florida, USA). In plain terms:

  • Use the tools for lawful things. Don't use curlhub — or its pastes, files, and hooks — to store or relay illegal, abusive, malware, or phishing content.
  • Provided as-is. No guarantee of uptime and no guarantee of retention. Ephemeral data (/p, /u, /hook) can vanish at any time; a purge job clears expired data every 5 minutes.
  • The CLI is open source, MIT-licensed, and provided as-is.
  • Rate limits apply, and our liability is limited — it's a free service from a small company.

Using curlhub means you accept what follows, and our Privacy Policy.

Who provides this service

curlhub.sh (the "Site") and its tools are operated by Tuxxin LLC ("we," "us"), a limited liability company in the State of Florida, USA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Tuxxin LLC. By using the Site, the tools, the optional CLI, or the optional account tier, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

The service, and what it doesn't promise

curlhub provides free, no-signup, command-line-friendly tools. We offer them to be useful, not guaranteed:

  • No availability guarantee. The Site is provided with no uptime or service-level commitment. We may change, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue any tool or the whole Site at any time, without notice.
  • No retention guarantee. The storage tools (/p paste, /u file, /hook inbox) are ephemeral by design. A purge job removes expired data every 5 minutes, and data may be deleted at any time. Never rely on curlhub as your only copy of anything.
  • No warranty. Everything is provided "as is" and "as available" (see Disclaimers below).

Acceptable use

curlhub is a shared, free service. You may use it for lawful purposes only, and you agree not to:

  • use the Site or any tool in violation of any law or regulation, or to harass, defraud, infringe, or harm others;
  • store, host, serve, or relay malware, phishing, or other malicious content through /p, /u, /hook, or any other endpoint;
  • use /hook or any tool to attack, probe, overload, or gain unauthorized access to systems you don't have permission to interact with;
  • attempt to break, overload, or circumvent our rate limits, security controls, or the CLI's safety checks;
  • upload or paste content you have no right to share, or anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful;
  • resell or repackage the Site as your own service, or systematically scrape it to build a competing service.

Rate limits apply to keep the service available for everyone; we may throttle, block, or refuse traffic that abuses it. We may remove content or access we reasonably believe breaks these rules. You are responsible for the content you submit, upload, or relay through curlhub.

Content you store or submit

You're responsible for anything you paste, upload, send to a hook, or submit through the contact form or the wiki, and you represent that you have the right to share it and that it doesn't break these Terms.

Because /p, /u, and /hook are ephemeral, we don't archive or back up your content, and we may delete it at any time as described above and in our Privacy Policy. We don't proactively monitor stored content, but we may remove content or disable access if we become aware it violates these Terms or the law.

The optional CLI

The curlhub CLI is an optional convenience wrapper — every tool also works with plain curl. It's open source under the MIT License, published at github.com/tuxxin/curlhub.sh-cli, and provided "as is" under that license, including the warranty disclaimer the MIT License contains. The installer verifies a published SHA-256 checksum before writing anything, but you should still read the code and verify the checksum before you pipe it to a shell. Your use of the CLI is governed by its MIT license together with these Terms.

Accounts and the wiki

The optional email-tier login exists only for the wiki. If you use it to vote, comment, or edit pages, you're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your API token secure — activity through your token is treated as yours. You agree to contribute only content you have the right to submit, and not to submit unlawful, abusive, or infringing material. We may suspend or remove accounts, tokens, or contributions that break these Terms, and you can ask us to close your account at any time via /contact.

Contributions and licensing. Contributions are attributed to your account. The wiki draws on openly licensed reference material — for example tldr pages, which are licensed CC BY, whose attribution and license terms are preserved. The license that applies to contributions you submit to the curlhub wiki is still being finalized; until we publish contribution terms, submit only content you're comfortable sharing under an open license.

Intellectual property

The curlhub name, the Site's design, and its original content are owned by Tuxxin LLC, except for third-party material used under its own license (such as the MIT-licensed CLI and CC BY reference content, each of which stays under its respective license). These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks. You keep whatever rights you already hold in content you submit.

Third-party services and links

The Site relies on and links to third parties — including Cloudflare, worldip.io, HESK, MailerSend, GitHub, and (only if you accept the analytics prompt) Google Analytics (see our Privacy Policy for what each does). We aren't responsible for third-party services or linked sites, which have their own terms and policies.

Advertising

The Site carries a small amount of advertising, and we keep it deliberately quiet. Ads are ours — written by us, served from our own servers — and they appear only on the browser pages. They never appear in curl, CLI, or API output: a piped or scripted response stays exactly as documented, so an ad can never end up inside your data or break a script.

Ads are not targeted using anything you send us. There is no third-party ad network or exchange, no advertising cookie, and no advertising profile of you — see the Privacy Policy for the data side of this.

An ad is not an endorsement. Where an ad or sponsored link points to someone else's product or site, that party's claims, terms, and privacy practices are its own and we aren't responsible for them (see Third-party services and links above). What we accept, where it sits, and what it costs are ours to set and to change.

Disclaimers

THE SITE, THE TOOLS, THE CLI, AND ANY STORED DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The tools are informational and best-effort. Results — a WHOIS record, an SSL or JWT decode, a subnet calculation, a status-code explanation, and so on — may be incomplete or out of date, and are not professional, legal, or security advice. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any output is accurate or fit for your purpose. You use the Site and its output at your own risk and are responsible for validating results before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TUXXIN LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, THE TOOLS, THE EPHEMERAL STORES, OR THE CLI — INCLUDING THE LOSS OR DELETION OF EPHEMERAL DATA — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

Because curlhub is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tuxxin LLC from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you store or submit, or your misuse of the Site in breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Florida are the venue for any dispute not otherwise resolved, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page and post the new version here; material changes may also appear in our news/updates once that channel is live. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
